Due
to deteriorating vision and the loss of my shop-space, I can no longer do
fine-detail electronics work. I hung on to all this
equipment for 5 years, carefully packed away in a 48' air-ride moving-van
semi-trailer.....hoping that my situation would improve. But it's
not going to...and it's time to sell my tools to folks who can make good use of it.
I'm pretty easy to work with. What I expect from
a buyer is the same that I offer in return: Straight
business dealings and no time-wasting. My word is my bond; and I
expect the same from you.
Items
are located near Medford, Oregon 97530....about 20 minutes from I-5.
If you travel I-5 and would like to buy a quantity at one time; you might be able to pick up in person and save a lot of
shipping-$$.
Note that the moving-van is parked down the mountain from our cabin; there's no AC power and no
light after dusk. Plan on arriving between noon-3pm.
Cash (green) terms.
Here are Links to the Item-Listings....but please read the Terms and Conditions below before you email me.

IMPORTANT NOTES, TERMS, and CONDITIONS:
- Offers are fine; but you'll get a better response if you offer to buy several
items, in exchange for discount. "Quantity" is what pushes my
'yes button'; because my priority is to get that semi-trailer emptied/moved.
- I now live off-grid, with very limited power and space. I can no longer set up and test most of these units.
- Over 90% of this Test Equipment was functional when stored in my moving-van in 2003.
- However, I do NOT warranty condition, operation or calibration. All sales are AS-IS and FINAL.
-
POWER-UP: As noted above, this equipment has been in storage for
5 years. I recommend that first power-up be done with the
well-known Variac technique; and also that you clean the HV
power-supply board in any oscilloscope with alcohol before power-up; to
remove any possible residue from condensation/mildew, etc.. Also,
there have been many reports on the TE-groups recently about
Tantalum-capacitor failures. It's reasonable to expect that older electronics from long storage may not be 100% at first power-up; and may need some troubleshooting.
-
It's typical for controls and miniature-relays to become 'sticky' or
'noisy' after sitting for a few years; so you should expect to have to
clean pots or switches, or use a relay for some time until it clears up.
-
All pictures are current (2009) and 'real'. If an item-listing has a
picture showing the unit in operation, then that IS my unit for sale, and it was plugged
into the 500W inverter here at the cabin sometime recently, and
powered up and produced the waveform or result shown in that picture.
These brief power-up tests/pictures are not a warranty of
condition; but simply an effort to help you judge
the condition of an item that I cannot fully test or guarantee.
The prices reflect this level of information.
- If I know or remember something specific about an
item,
I will
list that info here. However, it's been 6 years since I've had
this equipment set up and in use....and nobody's memory is perfect.
I bought every item on
this list with my own hard-earned money.....so I've
been "in the buyer's shoes" myself plenty of times. I'll do my best to list for you whatever I can remember about a unit.
To give you an idea of the type and condition of this equipment,
here's a picture of some of it as it was in use in 2002. These are the exact same units for sale now...
Starting on the left, a Wavetek
175 ARB on
the bottom, Wavetek 178 50mhz synthesizer next up, then HP8640B, Wiltron
610D
sweep-gen 4-12ghz, Wavetek....something...sweep-gen. (1-1000mhz, can't recall
model#). Note; I remember that the Wavetek RF sweeper on top went non-functional right before I
moved.
Next stack is a Datapulse 115 (?) on bottom,
then an HP counter,
then a Wavetek 164 30mhz sweep/function generator, then a Heath 5218 sine/square gen.
The scopes towards the right are a pair of Tektronix TM506 mainframes,
before I
loaded them with plugins (see list), a pair of Tek 7904 500mhz mainframes,
with
the one on the left containing a Rockland 0-100khz FFT Spectrum Analyzer;
and the
one on the right probably had a 7B92A, 7B85, 7A24, and 7A12 in it.
I have a lot of
plug-ins, and changed them out fairly often for different work.
Note: I have a Tek 7S11 - 7T11 Sampling set for the 7000
series frames for sale. On top of the 7904's are a Fluke 8520A,
which is a very nice 5.5 digit DMM,
then a Fluke
8502A, a really nice DMM of 6.5 digit accuracy,
then an HP5328
frequency counter.
I appreciate your purchases, and I hope that my TE finds a good home in your
shop...
