Tektronix 7B87 Sweep/Timebase; just $87 shipped

7B87, SN B021893

The 7B87 is a special fast timebase for the 7854 mainframe; but works fine in frames like the 7834 and 7904 also.  It's got nice solid triggering, and works well.  The Tek book gives us the details.....

"
The Tektronix model 7B87 is a single time base with Pretrigger Acquire Clock, designed for use in the Tektronix 7854 mainframe oscilloscope, but can be used in any TEK 7000-Series mainframe to provide triggering to 400 MHz. The pretrigger feature is only compatible with the 7854.

The 7B87 features pretrigger capability when used in the B horizontal of the 7854 mainframe. Pretrigger allow you to view what has ocurred before the trigger event in single shot applications. The amount of pretrigger time is determined by the Acquire-Stop delay time setting. The total amount of pretrigger is 0.2 to 9.9 times the time/div setting.

The INT Divide By 1000 control reduces the stored time/div to 1000 times slower than the real time display on a 7854. This does not, however, affect the Acquire-Stop delay time. The INT Divide By 1000 control allows stored sweep speeds from 10 ms to 5000 s/div for slow speed applications. An EXT Clock-In connector is provided for clock frequencies other than that offered by the INT Clock of the 7B87.

This unit has a beautiful front-panel and is in great overall physical condition.  It was working fine when I last used it, circa 2001-2002; but is sold as-is.
