Tektronix 7104; 1,000 mhz Mainframe; just $375
The
Tektronix 7104 is essentially the best analog oscilloscope ever made.
It not only has the highest bandwidth of any production scope,
but also features a unique Microchannel Plate CRT which can brighten a
single nanosecond event by 1,000 times; so that the human eye can
easily see it in happen in real-time.
This one is labeled as having Option-2 installed.
This
7104 was represented by the dealer to be in good working order
when I bought it in 2002, just prior to our moving. I never
got a chance to set it up and run it myself. As with any scope
stored for some years, I strongly recommend that you not power it up
until you've pulled the covers and cleaned the HV boards with alcohol
to remove any possible condensation/mildew residue.
Also, the
buyer should consider the pro's and con's of doing its first
power-up with the well-known "Variac technique", to avoid damaging
electrolytic-caps and rectifiers in the power-supply.
As you can
see in the pictures, this 7104 is physically in very good
straight condition and the front-panel is excellent...
